CRM Deliverability Lead
Role Overview
The CRM Deliverability Team Lead is responsible for the deliverability of the company’s email and SMS communications. This role covers the technical, operational, and strategic aspects of deliverability — from domain and IP reputation management to provider relationships and performance monitoring.
The primary goal is to ensure stable, predictable, and scalable delivery of both transactional and marketing communications while maintaining compliance with email and telecom provider requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Email Deliverability
• Manage domain and IP reputation (IP warming, traffic segmentation, stream separation).
• Configure and maintain SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI.
• Monitor and manage blocklists, complaint rate, and bounce rate.
• Track inbox placement and engagement metrics.
• Optimize sending infrastructure (ESP, SMTP, dedicated IPs).
• Build monitoring and alerting systems.
• Communicate with ESPs and mailbox providers (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook etc).
2. SMS Deliverability
• Monitor route quality and operator channels.
• Manage relationships with SMS providers.
• Track DLR, latency, and filtering issues.
• Conduct delivery testing across different countries.
3. Process & Team Management
• Develop and execute deliverability strategy.
• Establish database hygiene policies (cleaning, suppression logic, sunset policy).
• Provide analytics and KPI reporting.
• Lead and manage deliverability specialists.
Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in email and sms deliverability
• Experience handling high volumes (2M+ messages per day).
• Hands-on experience with ESPs and SMTP infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of DNS and authentication records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Experience with Postmaster Tools and Feedback Loops (FBL).
• Experience managing dedicated IPs.
• Experience working with SMS providers.
• Ability to analyze logs and technical metrics.
• Team management experience is a plus.
• Fluent English
Nice to Have
• Experience in iGaming, FinTech, or other high-risk verticals.
